ABPI response to Gill Leng retirement

NICE Chief executive Professor Gillian Leng has announced she is to retire.

Professor Leng has worked at NICE for 20 years and took over as only the second chief executive in the organisation’s history in April 2020.

In response, Richard Torbett, Chief Executive of the ABPI, said:

“Gill has made an enormous contribution to public health in this country and has been central to the success of NICE over the last 20 years. We wish her the very best of health and happiness in her retirement.

"NICE is a critical partner for the NHS and Industry and we look forward to working with Gill's successor to help deliver the UK's Life Sciences Vision.”
