Proving the feasibility of a postal inhaler recycling scheme to help reduce the environmental impact of medicines

Take AIR (Action for Inhaler Recycling) is a Chiesi Ltd funded scheme supported by University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust (UHL) and Leicestershire and Rutland Local Pharmaceutical Committee (LPC). After two years of the scheme, more than 52,000 inhalers were returned, saving an estimated 305 tonnes of CO2 emissions.

Tackling and Reducing Health Inequalities in people with Hepatitis C

Gilead worked with the NHS and charity Change Grow Live (CGL) to improve testing treatment for Hep C patients in drug treatment services. The project resulted in a 36% increase in Hep C testing, a 45% increase in referrals, and reduced phlebotomy waiting times.
