Antibiotics are the cornerstone of modern medicine, but their excessive use has accelerated the development of resistant bacteria leading to a growing threat from untreatable infections. This is known as “antimicrobial resistance” or AMR.

In this introductory webinar, the ABPI will give an overview of the current state of play around AMR, and the steps being taken to ensure effective antibiotics are being developed and delivered. The webinar is designed to provide background information for those who would like to gain a better understanding of AMR and the issues associated with the development of new and effective medicines.
