Transparency
From 2024, the ABPI will be voluntarily disclosing any payments we make to individuals and organisations, defined as healthcare professionals, healthcare organisations, patient organisations, patients, speakers, and journalists.
The ABPI does not promote medicines, so we are not subject to the ABPI Code of Practice (link) requirements around disclosure. However, by disclosing payments voluntarily, we restate our commitment to the ABPI Code principles: supporting patients, respect, integrity and transparency.
Our new disclosure policy demonstrates that we are proud of the ABPI’s collaborations and are focused on working ethically and transparently. The first annual disclosure statement will be for 2023, published here by the end of June 2024.
